Governor Fubara Promotes 20,000 Housing Units as Economic Opportunity Driver
The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed that the proposed 20,000 housing units project is a strategic initiative aimed at more than just bridging the housing deficit in the state.
According to the Governor, the project is designed as an economic empowerment platform that will open up opportunities across the construction value chain, including real estate development, building materials supply, skilled labour, and related services. He noted that such large-scale developments have the potential to stimulate local businesses and attract private sector participation.
Governor Fubara further explained that the initiative is part of a broader vision to create wealth for citizens by expanding access to investment opportunities within the housing sector. He emphasized that the project would help position Rivers State as a major hub for real estate growth and sustainable urban development.
